Our history

After 80 years of family business within the textile industry, we are enthusiastic about our story, our strong fabric tradition and our capability to always find challenges and innovation.

We are creative, experienced and innovative. We are passionate about what we do and we enjoy working hand to hand with our customers.
From our historical archive to the final designs, we are always thinking in advance to design the best collections for our clients.
Studio Elle is a big family that seeks for the best quality and “savoir faire” through teamwork, positive thinking and strong expertise.
We are located in Menaggio, at the heart of Lake Como, where our weaving house was originally born.

Today

Our company has operated in the textile industry exactly since 1951. We produce both plain and printed fabric and jacquard collections for many worldwide and well-known fashion brands.
We are located in Menaggio, at the heart of Lake Como, where our weaving house was originally born.

Nowadays, we have around 40 people working within the company based in two offices, Menaggio and Como area, this last office in direct contact with the printing house we cooperate with, in order to operate and have direct technical and quality controls on spot in order to grant a faster and better service to our customers.

Timeline

1974

TESSIL NOBIALLO is founded and the looms are replaced with 40 twin Vamatex looms in order to increase production and quality.

1978

Mr. Renzo Vaccani’s sons Enrico and Lorenza found FALTESSILE, a commercial department to manage all sales from the fabrics produced by the weaving house, plain silks and yarn-dyed.

1981

The company becomes operational and sells its products under the name of STUDIO ELLE, expanding its sales department and distribution on the textile market.

1981

1989

STUDIO ELLE and TESSIL NOBIALLO, a traditional and digital printing factory are united starting a new era. The company increases his collection adding the print department and expanding his fabric proposal.

1992

The quality department became bigger; the fabrics control is carried out inside the company in order to guarantee quality and discretion to the final customer.

1992

2009

As the first collaborations with USA made style offices begin. Studio Elle expands the print collection offer to its mainly European customers.

The SPOTLY project is born, based in Como, in collaboration with an historical printing house, to create more personalized and unique products.

2019

In addition to offering BCI and ECOVERO products, the company is certified GRS and GOTS to ensure a wider range of sustainable products.

Studio Elle integrates the “231 Organizational Model” within the business to guarantee a corporate code of ethics.

2020

Nowadays, Studio Elle’s head office is placed in Menaggio (Lake Como) where originally our weaving company started. Furthermore, we also have a style office in Como, right where the printing house is located.
